As with a lot of other people, we buy all kinds of random things from Amazon. Some things I can’t find locally and some things I just need shipped to me. Going out to a store with one or both kids can be like an Olympic sport. Below are some of the recent things we’ve purchased from Amazon.

Soon I’ll be doing another post of Amazon favorites, but focused on the upcoming grilling season! Be on the lookout for that post if you are getting ready to fire up your grill soon!

Amazon Favorites

Book Ends – These bookends have been a lifesaver. We put a bookshelf in the hallway upstairs between the kid’s bedrooms for all their books. Jonathan didn’t have enough book storage in his room and a lot of the books in Clara’s room were really more appropriate for Jonathan’s age. Now the books can be shared by both kids. These bookends are an easy way to keep the books in order and keep the bookshelf looking clean. I liked how they were playful for the kids without being too childish.

Thermos Funtainers – We purchased these Thermos Funtainers for Jonathan when the Contigo cups we had used for years got recalled for a second time. He likes the straw feature and I like how they still have a lid to close.

Popcorn Popper – Ken was the one who actually found this popcorn popper. He bought it after we saw his dad use it at his house. The popcorn needs very little oil to pop and you can choose to butter/salt as you wish when it’s done. A healthier option versus traditional microwave popcorn for sure. With a rating of almost 5/5 from over 8,000 reviews this popcorn popper is amazing!

Corsage – An item that’s a little bit out of the ordinary, Ken bought this corsage for Clara before the Daddy-Daughter Dance last month. It was significantly cheaper than buying a real corsage (it actually comes with two) and much lighter. Clara still plays with this artificial one and talks about the next time they can go to a Daddy-Daughter dance.

Plantronics Headset – Ken bought this a couple weeks ago for his office. He’s constantly on the phone and this will help immensely. He is now working from home (like many others right now) and he uses it in our home office as well. It has good call clarity, was easy to set-up and is comfortable to wear. It can also be used all day with up to 7 hours of nonstop talk!

Glasses Strap – I bought these glasses straps for Clara once she started a gymnastics class. Her glasses were sliding all over during class, but she still needed to wear them. I wanted something that would still be fun for her and something that she would want to wear. The multiple colors in this pack let her match her outfit and they do a great job keeping her glasses still. She has started wearing them on a daily basis at home and school because she likes them so much.

Bumbo Step Stool – We like this step stool so much we bought it twice! We bought the first one years ago when Clara was being potty trained. She still uses the step stool for her sink, so I bought Jonathan a matching one. It’s very sturdy and easy to move around.

Yeti Mug – I’ve seen these Yeti mugs all over the internet and for good reason. They are amazing. I love this particular one for my morning coffee. Regardless of what’s going on each morning as long as I put my coffee in my Yeti mug I know it will stay hot for hours. As someone who doesn’t care for reheated coffee and with two small kids around this mug is a lifesaver.
