Holidays that involve candy – and honestly which ones don’t for kids – can be really hard for those with food allergies. So far we’ve been able to shield Jonathan for the most part since he hasn’t been old enough for candy. However, he was particularly upset when he couldn’t have any candy at Halloween. With this in mind I’ve found some candy and non-candy options for him and other toddlers with food allergies for Easter this year.

Just as a reminder, his allergies are milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts and fish. As a reminder, be sure to always check the labels. Some full size item ingredients vary from their smaller size counterparts. It’s always best to check the label to be sure!!

Bubbles – What toddler doesn’t love bubbles! They just love blowing and running after them. Jonathan gets SO excited when I bring out the bubbles. I like these little tubes so when he inevitability dumps the bubble solution on the ground not a lot gets wasted. When that happens I just refill the container and he’s on his way again!

Chalk – I know, I know chalk is always on almost every Easter basket list. However, if your kids are like mine I’m not even sure what they do to their chalk every year. No matter what they always need some more in the spring.

Haribo Happy Hoppers Gummy Candy – Any Haribo gummy bears would technically be fine, but I love the fun Easter shapes of these Happy Hoppers. These gummy taste delicious are in super fun shapes for the kids.

Peeps Marshmallow Yellow Chicks – I had no idea Peeps were allergy friendly. Before I checked the label I thought for sure they contained milk, but no just sugar. I’m excited to give these to Jonathan this year as he already loves marshmallows. I’m sure it’ll be a yummy, sticky mess!

Plus-Plus Big Interlocking Puzzle Blocks – These blocks are the BEST. I usually keep some in my bag for them to use while running errands or going out to eat. The possibilities of what they can make are endless and it can keep them busy for a long time.

Starburst Jellybeans – Honestly I don’t really love jellybeans, but I really like these Starburst Jellybeans. I plan on putting these in plastic eggs for the egg hunt. I know both of our kids will excited to open these!

Slammin Racer – I got this for Jonathan a couple weeks ago and he loves it. It’s perfect for little kiddos since all they have to do is hit the large button on top and watch it race across the room. It comes in a bunch of fun designs and can work on all slammin’ racer tracks.

Skittles – Skittles are always a win in my book. These can be put in the Easter basket or stuffed into little plastic eggs for the egg hunt. Either way it’s a classic treat that any kid would be excited about getting.

Stomp Rocket Jr. – Our kids have the best time playing with this in the yard. They love stomping on it and seeing how high up it will go. With more than 4,500 reviews on Amazon you can’t go wrong with this product. The rockets are foam and safe for kids ages 3+.
